A Message From Sister Speer
Hi girls and leaders!
This is long overdue! I've written many letters but then I'd think I didn't say everything I wanted to and start over. I'm sorry about that! I think of you everyday. I miss you all and live you all! I'm sad I can't be at Girls Camp this year. I know it will be so special and will help you grow and strengthen your testimony.
I'm still here in Rexburg, Idaho and it's an amazing place to live! It's been a very hard year but great blessings along the way. I am in Rexburg 1st Ward and I've met lots of musical people as the ward choir director. Lots of resources here to help with my music! I have been able to get my website up and all the camp songs are on it as free downloads. The website is....cathyspeer.com. I'll be adding more and improving the songs too. Sister Dungan was so nice and sent me a video of you singing at the Camp kick off and High adventure. You can guess what it did to me! Haha.:) I just cried. So beautiful! It was just what I needed that night. Thank you so much for carrying on the songs. It means so much to me. You help me stay focused on what the Lord wants me to do. It's so easy to let life trials get in the way. Satan is using every trick now to bring us down, to discourage and distract. But as we stand strong together we become thorns in his side! I know it's true because I received a blessing once that said just that when I was really struggling to keep going with serious health and other issues and felt weak and felt I was no help to the Lord. I was strengthened and was able to keep going. We can all receive that strength and help. You are warriors. You are beautiful like the rose and fierce like the thorns! So hang on to your faith. Let's share these songs with the world! I'll be asking for your help as I continue to ask the Lord what He wants me to do here in Rexburg. It's a wonderful place to live. I hope you'll visit me if you're in town! There's so much more I'd like to share but I'm determined to send this! I love you all and pray for you all. Thank you for being such a strength in my life.
